Uluru 1.5-Hour Sunset Tour with Sparkling Wine & Cheeseboard

About This Experience
This is the simplest way to see Uluru at sunset with transport sorted. You leave the resort in the late afternoon by air-conditioned coach, and your driver/guide gives commentary on the drive as Uluru comes into view.
At the sunset viewing area you get sparkling wine and a cheeseboard with nibbles. You can stay by the coach or walk around the viewing area to find your own spot to watch the light change on the rock, which rises 348 m above the plain.
The color shifts gradually, so the operator suggests taking a photo every few minutes. Your guide will also take a picture of you with Uluru behind.
After sunset the coach heads straight back to the resort, in time for a dinner booking. The national park pass is extra: adults pay A$38 for 3 days and under-18s enter free.

- Coaches watch from the Uluru bus sunset viewing area, as the car sunset area is for cars only.
- Departure is late afternoon and moves with the sunset time through the year.

Andy is the bestest guide who turned our frowns upside down. With torrential rain, we were surprised AAT did not cancel the tour ( when e everyone else had). From 25 people in group we were only 4 women & we continued with our not-to -sunset tour. Andy saw our dissatisfaction and since was informed the rock was full with waterfall, initiated to take us there and we all jumped. It turned out to be magical evening past that point, rainbow, waterfalls . Incredible effort by Andy to save the day. 100 stars

Sunset at Uluru is simply amazing (if a sunny day). Wine (sparkling and regular) and nibbles were plentiful. Guides and team at the site were wonderfully friendly. I could recommend this.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the Uluru sunset tour with sparkling wine?
About 1.5 hours. You leave Ayers Rock Resort in the late afternoon, watch the sunset at the viewing area and return to the resort soon after, early enough for a dinner booking.
What food and drink is included?
Sparkling wine and nibbles, with a wine and cheeseboard. Reviewers mention cheese, cured meats, crackers and dips, and say the drinks were plentiful. It is a sunset snack, not a meal, so book dinner at the resort.
Is the national park pass included?
No. It is a compulsory government charge paid separately. Adults 18 and over need a pass (A$38, valid for 3 days) and under-18s enter free. Buy it online before the tour.
Is there much walking?
No. The coach takes you to the sunset viewing area and you can watch from there or wander around it to find your own spot. Comfortable shoes are still a good idea on the sand and gravel.
Can I cancel for free?
Yes. The listing allows cancellation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancel inside 24 hours or miss the pickup and the booking is not refunded, so check the forecast and your plans before the cut-off.
