Uluru, Kata Tjuta & Kings Canyon Camping Tour

About This Experience
Departures from Alice Springs pick up at about 6 am and drive to Yulara with an early lunch on the way; departures from Yulara or Ayers Rock Airport pick up between 1:40 and 2 pm. The first afternoon is a guided hike between the domes of Kata Tjuta, followed by a light snack while you watch sunset over Uluru and a shared dinner at camp.
Day 2 starts early with sunrise over Uluru. Your guide takes you to a cultural site to learn about Anangu rock art and creation stories, and you then walk the full Uluru base walk (10.6 km, about 3.5 hours) at your own pace. After lunch you visit the Cultural Centre, then drive to a campsite near Watarrka National Park for dinner and a night under the desert sky.
On day 3 you walk the guided Kings Canyon Rim Walk past the Lost City domes, the Garden of Eden and the Amphitheatre. After lunch the group drives back toward Yulara, arriving in the late afternoon, or on to Alice Springs, arriving about 6 pm.
On the 3-night option you have a free evening in Yulara, with optional activities such as the Field of Light or a camel sunset tour at your own expense, and a final night at camp. After breakfast on day 4 you get a transfer to your Yulara accommodation or Ayers Rock Airport, at about 9 am.
You sleep in Aussie swags with a sleeping bag provided and basic shared facilities. All meals are included, and a multilingual audio guide app lets you follow the commentary in English, French, German, Japanese, Korean or Spanish.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.8/5 by 462 verified GetYourGuide travelers.
Excellent. It was a great experience with an amazing group of people. Hannah did an awesome job, getting us from place to place and sharing with us history, stories, identification of plants and generally keeping us safe. Walking the base of Uluru, seeing it at its best times, visiting Kata Tjuta and doing the Rim Walk at Kings Canyon were all a WOW for me. Nature at its best. The food was plentiful for our group and not a chance of going hungry. It was a first for me, camping and sleeping in a swag . I loved it. Thankyou.
