Uluru 15-Minute Helicopter Experience

About This Experience
This is the shortest helicopter flight from Yulara: 15 minutes in the air, focused on Uluru and the country around it. It does not include Kata Tjuta.
An air-conditioned coach picks you up at your hotel and drives you to Ayers Rock Airport. Before boarding, the crew runs through a safety briefing. The helicopters have bubble windows, which give a wide field of view for photos.
Seen from above, Uluru's full shape stands out against the flat plain; it rises 348 m above the surrounding country. Out of respect for Anangu culture, flights do not pass directly over the rock or fly all the way around it.
The operator, Professional Helicopter Services, needs at least two passengers per flight and pairs solo travelers with others. Listed departure times are approximate, and the operator contacts you to confirm the time.

An absolutely unforgettable experience! 🚁❤️ The Uluru helicopter experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. Seeing Uluru from the air was simply breathtaking — the scale, colours and incredible landscape are something you really can’t appreciate in the same way from the ground. The flight itself was fantastic, and the views were absolutely spectacular from start to finish. Watching Uluru and the surrounding desert landscape stretch out beneath us was a truly magical experience and something we will remember for a very long time. The whole experience was professionally organised, and the team were friendly, welcoming and made us feel completely comfortable throughout. If you’re visiting Uluru, I would highly recommend doing the helicopter flight. It gives you a completely different perspective and is worth every moment. An incredible experience and definitely one of the highlights of our Australian adventure! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 15-minute flight include Kata Tjuta?
No. This flight focuses on Uluru and its surroundings. If you want to see the domes of Kata Tjuta from the air as well, look at the 25-minute Uluru and Kata Tjuta flight or the 36-minute sunset flight from the same operator.
Where does the helicopter take off from?
An air-conditioned coach collects you from your hotel in Yulara and drives you to Ayers Rock Airport. The crew gives a safety briefing there before you board, and the coach returns you to your hotel afterwards.
Do you fly over the top of Uluru?
No. Flights do not go directly over Uluru or completely around it because of the rock's cultural sensitivity to Anangu, the Traditional Owners. You see it from the side at a distance.
What if I am traveling on my own?
You can still book. There is a two-person minimum per flight, so solo travelers are paired with other passengers. If the minimum is not met and the flight cannot go ahead, you are refunded.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. If the operator changes your flight or meeting time by 30 minutes or more, you can also claim a full refund.
