About This Experience

This is a one-way coach transfer from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara, run by AAT Kings. The coach heads out through the MacDonnell Ranges and across the desert country of Central Australia.

Along the way your driver/guide gives commentary on the region's natural and geological history and on desert plants and animals, including the perentie monitor lizard, the thorny devil and the red kangaroo. You also hear about the traditional customs and beliefs of local Aboriginal people.

There is a short break at a roadhouse on the route. On the final stretch you can see flat-topped Atila (Mount Conner) in the distance before the coach arrives at Ayers Rock Resort.

The transfer ends at the resort and does not enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Yulara has no taxis or public transport, so plan tours, the Hop On Hop Off service or a hire car for getting into the park.
