About This Experience

SEIT picks you up from your accommodation and drives you in an air-conditioned 4WD to the homelands of the Traditional Uluru family. Your Aboriginal host, supported by a professional driver/guide, shares the family's culture and history on their own country.

A central part of the day is hearing from the Traditional Owners themselves how Paddy Uluru fought for Aboriginal land rights to the area where Uluru stands today. The operator's aim is to show more than the usual visitor side of the rock.

The tour runs as a morning or an afternoon departure depending on the season. The summer itinerary includes morning tea and a light lunch; the winter itinerary includes afternoon tea, then non-alcoholic drinks and light refreshments at a sunset viewing spot.

Groups are capped at 9 people. Wear covered shoes and a full-brimmed hat, bring sunscreen and bottled water, and tell the operator about any dietary needs when you book.

This tour was great. Our driver and co-guide Peter provided supplemental information for our native guide Verna. We learned so much of the culture and land. There were 8 people total on this tour, which allowed for questions and a more intimate tour. Highly recommended!!
